Sneak Peek at Tatting Corner Tat Days 2021!

Well, 2020 was challenging, wasn’t it? And we’re not quite out of the woods yet, either…but Tatting Corner Tat Days 2021 is in the planning stages, and I have a real goodie for you today – pictures of all of the projects that will be taught!

Normally, I like to get these posted in December. But for those that have been following my Facebook posts, and/or my email newsletters, you know what my life has been like for the past four months. For those that don’t know, my husband had triple bypass surgery on October 26, 2020 (my birthday present from him!), and little did we know that we were going to be on a rollercoaster of hospitalizations for the next four months. Hopefully, he’s on the road to a complete recovery now, but there’s the reason for the lateness of this post.

So, plans are being made, teachers have been selected, and the hotel arrangements are being worked out right now. I’m planning to open registration in mid- to late-April. The dates are July 8 through 10 of this year, so mark your calendars. The cost will be $95, same as last year, and will include all of your classes (you’ll pay your kit fees to the teachers), plus lunches. We started something last year that I think we will be repeating this year, and that is a sit down banquet with a live auction after on Friday evening. If you deferred your attendance last year to this year, you’ll get a special code to register for this year (since I still need your class selections), and it won’t charge you for your registration fee.

And now, on to our teacher list:

K Boniface

Sharon Fawns

Kaye Judt

Mike Lyon

Karey Solomon

Shawna Wachs

Teresa Woods

We’ll have a couple of seminars this year: Mike Lyon will be making a presentation on using Inkscape (if you want to bring your tablet or laptop and follow along while he presents, you can), and Teresa Woods will be making a presentation on the Tatters Across Time proficiency program. We may add a session of encasing tatting in resin with Mike if there’s sufficient time to do it, as well.

Without further ado, here are the pictures you’ve been waiting for!

Sneak Peek at Tat Days 2020!

Well, it’s been a while since I had something to write about…so I thought I’d let you in on the teacher list for Tatting Corner Tat Days 2020 – “The Roaring 2020’s” to be held in Chesterfield, Indiana, from July 9 through 11.  Registration will be opening in mid to late January 2020 and we’ll have three full days of tatting fun!

Confirmed teachers are as follows:

Mike Lyon – Flapper Bling #1 and The Eyes Have It

K Boniface – Star and Comet

MaryAnna Robinson – Choker/Headband

Carolyn Craig – Tatted Gatsby Boudoir Cap, Tatted Roaring 20’s Drawstring Bag

Sharon Fawns – Thumb Chatelaine and Wave Earrings (designed by Corina Meyfeldt and taught with permission)

Kaye Judt – Flapper’s Fascination and Mighty Grand Mane

Teresa Woods – Beginner Shuttle & Needle Tatting, and Reading & Converting Tatting Patters from the 1920’s

Shelley Perreault – Mad About The Mouse

Mike Lyon will also offer a class entitled Encasing Tatting In Resin, and there will be a Techniques Toolkit panel offered throughout the conference that will feature several of the wonderful teachers listed above.

Well, I think that’s all for today…oh, wait.  You wanted to see pictures?  A sneak peek?  Well, ok……
