I have a new upcoming appearance for Tatting Corner this year!
The Great Lakes Lace Group, Inc. is hosting a three day lace event titled “Get Away and Make Lace!” on September 22, 23, and 24, 2023. It will be at the Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence Conference Center, 4800 E. Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan. There are two weekend-long classes offered: A Tatting Tea Party (Shuttle or Needle) with Kaye Judt, or Milanese Lace with Louise Colgan. A total of 18 hours of instruction will be given for each class (you’ll select one of the two), and BONUS: you’ll get to shop a limited selection of supplies from Tatting Corner, and also meet me!
The promotional flyer is attached to this post – download it and also take a look at the GLLGI website at https://www.gllgi.org for the full registration materials.
The dates for the second tatting-themed cruise have been set: November 5 through 12, 2023. We’ll be sailing from Galveston Texas on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas, going to Roatan, Honduras; Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico; and Cozumel, Mexico, along with three tatting class days at sea!
Teachers already confirmed: Kaye Judt (author of Oh My Stars! Techniques for Tatters; A Little O’ This, A Little O’ Tat; More O’ This And Tat; Motifs for Marie; and Treasures in Tatting), K Boniface, and Marsha Bramson. More will be forthcoming!
Prices are as follows and are inclusive of the current port charges and taxes: Inside Cabin, $828.69; Oceanview Cabin, $976.69; and Balcony Cabin, $1055.69. (These rates are per person based on two people per cabin.) Non-tatters are very welcome as well!
Below is a PDF presentation with information about the ship and ports that you can download and read. If you have questions, please do contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll be glad to help.
